We started this day off very early. A started having extreme pain in her side late Sunday night. After giving her a blessing A decided that we needed to take her to the hospital. Four hours laterand a lot of poking and prodding they sent us home at 2:00 a.m. At this point it wasn't obviously appendicitis but it wasn't ruled out. This made for a very tired Mom, Dad and girl.

Wake up world!
We were loudly awakened and M told me to look outside. I am glad that I did!
It was the beginning of a beautiful, yet cold day snowmobiling, sledding and just having more fun!
--poor little pup Holly got her collar caught under the trailer--she was little stuck dog-so glad that she is safe.

10th Ward Overnight Winter activity!
We had a ball at D's ward party! We all played basketball, volleyball, dodge(slaughter)ball. Ate tons and tons of pizza and junk. Rock band was blasted throughout the rec. center while blankets and knitted hats were being made for the less fortunate.
It was a fun--long night! There is always going to be someone who snores in a group of 40!

"Everything old is New again!"
More than two years ago I just could not take the chaos that had overtaken my basement. Any semblance of order that I had ever claimed was gone. Complete and total chaos had taken over. I could not stand the mess so I found numerous laundry baskets and just started scooping up the mess. I decided that I wanted to see if any of the toys that I picked up would even be missed.
I have been going to go through those baskets many times. They have taunted me from atop an empty freezer. Occasionally in the past six months J has asked what was in those baskets. He would sometimes ask me to get him something that he could see.
Well, this was the day-he was just more curious than he could stand. He got a chair and started looking through the boxes. He was like a kid in a toy store with no limit! I decided that while I did my many, many loads of laundry we could sort the mess.
Miss E hasn't seen these Barbies for more than two years. She never asked what happened to them. When I put them all in a nice little organized box and handed it to her it was like Christmas morning. "I love these Barbie's, where where they?" She has played for hours and hours.
The preschool kids were in heaven with all the additional hotwheel cars and the people for the dollhouse.
Amazing however, that for more than two years, noone even wondered where the toys had disappeared to. They will dissappear forever if they are dumped all over my house again!

I am often found complaining after a snowstorm that we live surrounded by tractors and four wheelers with snow blades but no one ever helps plow us out.
When I heard Laurel's tractor I knew that I better get a picture. Someone was trying to help us!
Winter hit with a vengeance today. We received TWO FEET of snow. D came home early and plowed for more than four hours. He plowed us, the neighbors, his parents and at least two other lanes-people that just don't have the equipment to move this much snow.
D says that winter can be over. There is nowhere else to put the snow!

M has needed a haircut for quite awhile! I have tried to get into our regular gal. No luck. We finally decided that we were desperate. We phoned a Supercuts near his basketball game and took our chances!
A definate improvement!

Sunday, February 8, 2009Over the years we have made sugar cookies. Unfortunately, not for quite some time. I don't believe that E and J have actually ever done it at our house! Today was the day. MissE helped me straighten up the kitchen so that we could use Ruby and make the dough.
After the dough chilled we went to work on the cookies. Our friend Mia came and she was great moral support. After baking the cookies we all played Rock Band. Mia is a great sport---and a great singer!

In our church congregation I am a Bear Den leader for the cub scouts. I have had this responsibility for over four years.
Tonight was the annual Cub Scout birthday party. The Blue and Gold Banquet.
Jay Taylor came and shared his outdoor experiences with us. The boys and parents were enthralled by all the animal skins and mounts that he brought! The demonstration of the size of a bear his son shot was amazing.
